Well, it has been one year since I interviewed to be an intern. I can't believe that much time has gone by! I remember how excited I was when I found out. I didn't get anything done at work that day! They told us that if we did not get chosen, we would get an e-mail, and if we did get chosen we would get a phone call. So I was sitting there watching my e-mail and my phone. Any time I got a text or an e-mail, my heart skipped a beat!!

Then I got the call, and here I am! I have been teaching for about 7 months, and I have loved it! I love my school, and I love my students, and I love my parents! They have all been amazing. I think I was definitely blessed with very supportive parents, and students that don't have too many problems. : )

I don't know where I will be next year or what grade I will be teaching, but I have had such a wonderful experience and hopefully next year will be just as great.

Dog Training/Yard Saling

Today we went to a bunch of yard sales in Daybreak with Kellie. I was so excited by what I got, I had to share! I was mostly looking for books for my classroom, since I have a total of 3 right now. I was able to get 37 books for $16.00!!! I was so excited!! Here they are:

I also got some other things for myself and my classroom. My total purchases were less than $30. I think it was a successful day.

After the yard sales we went to dog training. We have Stella working with a trainer named Greg in Alpine. He is awesome! We are going to have her learn to do agility courses. She does some of it right now and loves it! He mostly does attack dog training, which is really fun to watch. So today I got attacked! It was pretty scary, but it was fun. I had on the arm protection and the dog just bit my arm. It didn't hurt. Just a little pressure. But man, when that dog jumped at me, I was so scared! The dog's name was Q. He was a Belgian Malinois. He was really sweet (even though it doesn't look like it!)

The very first of the video got cut off, but drag it to the very beginning and look at the still shot. It's pretty funny.

Bronson's Miracle

Today I was looking on MSN and saw a story about the Staker family. They are a family from Provo who witnessed an amazing miracle. The mom was bathing her 16-month-old baby, Bronson and his brother, and she stepped out for just a few minutes. She heard the other boy screaming, and when she ran back in, Bronson was lying face up in the bathtub with blue lips and no color in his face. She tried to rescusitate him, but he was unresponsive. The ambulance came and took him to the Emergency Room, where he was pronounced Dead on Arrival. They kept doing CPR and finally his heart started again. I won't tell the entire story here, but it is an amazing story. He was "dead" for at least 11 minutes, probably more. They didn't think he would survive, and even if he did, he would have severe brain damage. But he lived, and he is just the same as he was before. It is an amazing story. The Staker's Blog tells all the details. It is hard to read, and I tried my best not to cry while I was sitting at work reading it. But I couldn't pull myself away. It is such a miraculous story, and Sara's testimony is so powerful. This story truly shows that Heavenly Father is watching us and can hear us. My testimony has been strengthened by this family that I have never even met, and it made me remember to cherish the things that I have and not worry so much about the worldly things.

Halloween 2009

This is our first Halloween in our own house with our puppy! It is awesome! We carved pumpkins the night before Halloween.

An Evening of Witchy Delight!

This year for Halloween, I hosted a witches party with Team UGLY. We invited Erin to come and be an honorary member. She is so nice! We all dressed as witches and played games and watched Charlie Brown. The food was great, too (always important). Even Stella dressed up as a witch! Here are a few pictures:

Cascade Springs

Today we went up to Cascade Springs in American Fork Canyon. It was a lot of fun. We took Stella and she was so well behaved! She didn't bite her leash at all, and she walked along with us really well. She had so much fun going to a new place. She was scared to go over the bridges at first, but then she got over it. We drove the Alpine Loop, which is a lot longer than I realized!! It was beautiful, though, with all the fall colors.

Puppy Stella!!

Today we went to pick out our puppy. There were 4 girls to choose from, and they are still so small that it was hard to choose. We couldn't see their personalities too much because they were so sleepy. But the lady said that this one is really cuddly but also playful too, so we thought she would be good. Plus she is super cute!! We still have to wait 3 weeks. We will go get her on September 4th.

She's gonna be preston's little baby!
